SECL hoisted the flag in the 49th Coal India Foundation Day Awards with 12 awards, the company received honours.
Bilaspur – SECL performed strongly in the 49th Foundation Day celebrations of Coal India and was successful in winning 12 awards. In the 49th Foundation Day celebration of Coal India held at Coal India Headquarters, Kolkata on 01/11/2023, SECL was awarded 6 corporate awards and individual category for its excellent performance in various areas like environment, CSR, cleanliness, coal production, star-rating. Awarded with 6 awards.
The said awards were presented in a program organized in two sessions in Kolkata. In a grand ceremony in the evening session, Shri M Nagaraju, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Government of India, Mrs. Vismita Tej, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Government of India, and Shri PM Prasad Coal India Chairman received the awards from the hands of CMD Dr. Prem Sagar Mishra. Went. On this occasion, General Managers and officers of SECL Headquarters and various areas were also present.
The awards received by the company in the Corporate Awards category include CSR Spending – 1st Prize, Environment Management – 2nd Prize, Cleanliness Fortnight – 2nd Prize, Remarkable Coal Production – Gevra Mine, Star Rating – Bangwar (UG) Mine – 1st Prize and Star Rating – Khairaha (UG) Mine – Third Prize.
Earlier in the morning session of the function, Shri M Nagaraju, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Government of India, Shri AK Dubey, former Secretary, Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of India and former Coal India Chairman, Ms. Zohra Chatterjee, first woman Chairman of Coal India, In the hospitality of Shri PM Prasad, Chairman Coal India, 6 awards in individual category were given to various officers and employees of SECL.
For excellent performance in the individual category, Mr. Sanjay Mishra, General Manager, Kusmunda Area, Mr. SK Mohanty, General Manager, Gevra Area, Mr. CB Singh, General Manager, Sales & Marketing – Best HOD Award, Mr. Amit Saxena, General Manager, Deepka Area – Best Area GM Award. For special contribution, Mr. Anand Bakshi, Deputy General Manager (Finance) and Mr. Vaibhav Aggarwal, Deputy Manager (Finance) and Mrs. Savitri Devi, Conveyor Operator, Shivani (UG) Bhatgaon area were honored with – Best Female Operator Awards.
