New Delhi, November 11 (Language) Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia reached home from Tihar Jail to meet his ailing wife after getting permission from the court.
Sisodia is lodged in Tihar jail in the alleged liquor scam case. He has been allowed to meet his wife for six hours from 10 am to 4 pm.
Sisodia reached his residence on Mathura Road in a police vehicle at around ten in the morning. Policemen are also with him.
Earlier, the Delhi High Court in June had also allowed Sisodia to meet his wife Seema, but he could not meet her as he was admitted to the hospital after Seema’s health suddenly deteriorated. Sisodia’s wife is suffering from ‘multiple sclerosis’.
The court, while allowing Sisodia to meet his wife, has ordered him not to talk to the media or engage in any political activity.
Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in February. Earlier, he was the Deputy Chief Minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government. He also had many other departments.
Recently the Supreme Court had rejected the bail plea of Sisodia.
