Rampur (UP), November 7 (Language) The team of Anti Corruption Organization (ACO) of Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday arrested a Sub Inspector (Inspector) here while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. A police officer gave this information.
According to the police, Pakhar outpost in-charge (sub-inspector) of Ganj police station Sudhir Kumar was caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person.
According to the officer, the inspector was demanding bribe from a victim in a case which he was investigating. The victim Akram had complained about this to the Moradabad ACO team of the police and as per the schedule, when he reached to bribe the SI, the team immediately caught the accused.
ACO Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohammad Faizal Siddiqui said that he had received information that Rs 10,000 was being demanded by the police personnel.
He said that Sub Inspector Sudhir Kumar was caught red handed when he was taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 on Tuesday.
In this case, an FIR has been lodged by the ACO against Sudhir Kumar.
