Truck catches fire in Ambala, Haryana, driver dies.


Ambala, November 5 (Language) A truck caught fire in the early hours of Sunday near Mullana in Ambala, Haryana, in which the driver of the vehicle was burnt alive. Police gave this information.

He said that Balbir Singh was passing through Ambala-Jagadhri highway when his truck came in contact with an electric wire, due to which it caught fire.

Eyewitnesses told the police that as soon as the truck came in contact with the wire, flames started rising from it.

Before the driver could get out of the truck, the vehicle burst into flames and he was burnt alive inside, officials said.

Police said that Singh was a resident of Ugala village in Ambala district and was around 40 years old.

He told that some iron items were loaded in the truck along with sand.

Police said Singh’s family has been informed about the incident and the body will be handed over to them after post-mortem.
