Chandigarh, November 17 (Language) Two drones along with more than one kilogram of heroin were recovered on Friday near the India-Pakistan border in Tarn Taran, Amritsar and Ferozepur districts of Punjab. A Border Security Force (BSF) officer gave this information.
He said that acting on specific information, Border Security Force and Punjab Police personnel conducted a search operation on the outskirts of Kalash Havelian village of Tarn Taran.
The official said that during this operation, a Chinese-made quadcopter (a type of drone) was recovered from a field.
BSF troops in Amritsar recovered another broken drone and a packet of 550 grams of heroin from a field near Ratan Khurd village, the official said.
In the third incident, BSF troops, in a joint search operation with Punjab Police, recovered 500 grams of heroin in a packet from a field in Bhakara village of Firozpur, he said.
