Union head arrested for demanding two lakh rupees from the owner of a truck engaged in loading paddy


Jind, November 2, (Language) The city police station has arrested the head of the truck union for demanding Rs 2 lakh from the owner of a truck engaged in loading paddy in the new grain market in Jind, Haryana, and threatening the drivers.

Bittu, a resident of Jind, told in the complaint given to the city police station that on the night of 30th October, his truck was going towards the warehouse after loading paddy from the new grain market, but on the way, a youth in a car came, he stopped the truck by parking his car in front. Took and took down the drivers.

It has been alleged in the complaint that the youth threatened that if they wanted to load paddy from the grain market, they would have to pay money.

Bittu alleged that these youth belong to truck union chief Rakesh Naguran. He said that Ngunra had called him on WhatsApp on October 27 and demanded Rs 2 lakh, but he had refused to give the said amount.

Investigating officer of the city police station, Bhagwat said that on the basis of the complaint, a case of illegal extortion and threatening has been registered against Truck Union President Rakesh Naguran, Deputy President Sandeep Jaglan, Deepak, Monty and Kairu.

He said that the police took action and arrested Nguran.
