WeWork files for bankruptcy protection


New York, November 7 (AP) WeWork, once one of the biggest companies on Wall Street, applied for bankruptcy protection in the US. WeWork has made this application under Chapter 11 of bankruptcy protection. Once the market valuation of this company was close to $50 billion.

However, the company has not disclosed further details of the restructuring. The company said in its bankruptcy filing that it wants to cancel leases at certain destinations that are no longer of operational importance to it.

The company said on Monday that advance notice regarding this has been sent to all the affected members.
