Mumbai, November 19 (Language) The body of a woman has been recovered from a suitcase in Kurla area of central Mumbai. Police gave this information on Sunday.
A police officer said that at around 12.30 pm, the police had received information about a suitcase lying abandoned on CST Road in Shanti Nagar, after investigating which the body was recovered.
Metro project work is going on in Shanti Nagar.
The police reached the spot and recovered the woman’s body inside the suitcase, the officer said.
He said that the body has been sent to a hospital for post-mortem. According to the police, the woman has not been identified yet.
The officer said that the police is examining the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area.
According to the official, Kurla police have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and the killer is being searched.
