Young man accused of beating his wife to death in Kaushambi.


Kaushambi (UP), November 11 (Language) In Kaushambi district, a youth allegedly beat his wife to death with a pressure cooker for not paying for liquor. Police gave this information on Saturday.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Samar Bahadur Singh said that Patali, a resident of Kundravi village, is addicted to drinking and like every day, on Friday night he asked his wife Meena Devi (32) for money for liquor.

He told that the wife refused saying that she did not have money. After this, Patali started abusing her and hit Meena several times on the head with the pressure cooker kept nearby, due to which Meena died on the spot.

ASP said that on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Gyan Singh, a case of murder has been registered against the accused husband today. He said that the accused is absconding since the incident and efforts are being made to arrest him.
