Nagpur, November 11 (Language) A vehicle hit two scooters in Nagpur, Maharashtra, killing a 23-year-old man while another woman and her daughter were injured. Police gave this information on Saturday.
An official said the incident took place on Friday night in front of Lakshminarayan Temple near Sakkardara Lake. He said that the deceased has been identified as Gaurav Raut (23), a resident of Dattatreya Nagar area.
According to the official, Mahalgi Nagar resident Varsha Khare (48) and her daughter Divyanshu were injured in this accident and have been admitted to a private hospital.
The officer said that Khabare and her daughter were returning home after Diwali shopping at around 10.30 pm when a four-wheeler coming from the opposite direction hit their scooter. He told that after this the said vehicle hit the scooter of Raut who was coming behind the woman and her daughter, due to which he died on the spot.
The officer said that after this the four-wheeler collided with an electric pole and overturned and its driver fled from the spot. Sakkardara police have registered a case under section 304 (A) of the Indian Penal Code and further investigation is underway, he said.
